About Jayden
Jayden is an easy-going, happy little boy who loves spending time interacting with others. He loves being held and playing with staff members. Jayden will reach for people when he wants attention and for objects that he wants. Jayden likes to play with simple cause-and-effect toys, musical toys, and manipulative toys with other people; he will throw them if he is by himself. He likes music, especially Daniel Tiger’s theme song, Baby Shark song, Encanto music, and Dancing in the Dark by Rianna (he will dance to it) and watching TV. Jayden loves going for rides in the wagon and walking around the building in his loaner gait trainer. He loves being outside playing in the grass, riding in the wagon, and playing in the rain and will direct staff to take him outside. Jayden has started to explore sensory items such as grass, the bricks on the building, and different textures. Jayden is very interested in his environment and exploring new opportunities. He loves meeting new people and joining his recreational therapy group to participate in group activities. Jayden loves walking around the first floor of the building and outside in the gait trainer.
Jayden enjoys spending time interacting with others. He is part of a recreational therapy group made up of peers of a similar age and cognitive level as his. With these peers, he participates in daily art, music, and/or sensory group activities, including making various themed art projects through the utilization of some age-appropriate hand over hand assistance from staff, exploring various sensory items, doing science experiments, listening to stories, and listening to music. During his individual time, Jayden loves listening to books and turning the pages, playing with toys, and going for rides inside and outside in the wagon. He has the opportunity to visit with volunteers and therapy dogs, attend the monthly resident birthday parties, attend seasonal/holiday facility wide parties, and open holiday gifts. In his leisure time, he enjoys listening to music, watching TV shows/movies, playing with toys, and spending time outside.
