About Amy
Amy (05/2007) has thrived and recovered well since being in a stable placement. Amy takes more and more steps with each passing day, with little assistance. Amy is always smiling, loves to sing, loves to listen, and learn from any individual(s) willing to engage her positively. Amy is identifying colors and letters. Amy responds very well to instruction and is able to say "no" when she does not want to do something. Amy loves to sing or hum songs and can often repeat some of the words spoken to her. Amy is adapted to her routine and more than capable of cooperating with tasks and instructions. Amy is aware of her environment and how to interact with it (i.e., playing with toys, navigating rooms, opening doors, turning music knobs up or down to her preference). Amy loves to engage socially with other people. Amy's motor and verbal skills continue to improve with each passing month as she accomplishes tasks with less and less assistance. Amy does great work in her physical therapy and is very participatory. Amy has adjusted well to her walker, chair, and other medical adaptive gear.
